We have two great plays moving on to the Finals tomorrow!  While last night all our winners were comedies, tonight our judges decided to move forward two dramas!

These two finalist had to compete with 5 outstanding, diverse, selections.  Our judges for the evening– Jonathan Lomma, an agent at WMEE; Mark Hoebee, Producing Artistic Director at Papermill Playhouse; and  Matthew Burnett, Samuel French playwright–had a very tough challenge in front of them!

Mountain Song and Create Me Pegasus will be back on Sunday!  Check our schedule for their run times.

MEET AND GREET TONIGHT!

Yes, today is day zero of our 2011 OOB Festival!  Tonight we’ll host a playwrights/ producers-only meet-and-greet, giving Festival participants the opportunity to see our theatre, talk to Festival staff they’ve been trading emails with, and–most excitingly–engage in our Keynote discussion.  This year’s speakers are Jason Grote, Playwright and Television Writer, and John M. Baker, the Literary Manager of the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, well-known for their support of new American Plays.  We are honored to have them with us!

Keep reading for more information on the week’s events–we’ll be posting photos, videos and news from the Festival.
